Take a tour of our classroom!

Here is what the classroom looked like in the summer!

Lots of work to do!

Where is all of my stuff? So many blank walls!

Our beehive reading corner!  Up to four students can go inside to read and rest quietly!  It is a perfect haven for busy bees!

Our classroom library! I group my books by subjects and label the baskets. Students can also work with magnetic letters on the filling cabinet.

Our math center! There is a bear rug on the floor where students can sit to play games or work with manipulatives!

Our calendar wall! We gather on the floor in front of this wall every morning to start our day! The leaves at the bottom are our class time line. We add a die cut for everyday of the week.

Our door is decorated with bees made out of styrofoam balls.  I painted them and then used electrical tape for stripes and wax paper for wings!  It used to say "Buzz On In!"  However, the "In"  fell off!

This is where I store the majority of my centers and literacy boxes.  I purchased the wire shelf at Costco.  Each box is labeled with a sticker that I printed on the computer. Students select a tub and then take it to a another part of the classroom to work.

This is our computer center.  It is located next to the writing center and the window looks out onto the playground!

This is our writing center.  I found these cute chairs on sale at Eckerds!  I never would have thought to look there!  A mom made the tablecloth for me.  We hang class books on the wooden rack that is on the wall behind the table.

Here are some students reading inside our hive!
