We love to Write!

First grade students love to write during Writers Workshop.  Students especially enjoy wearing "Brainstorming Crowns" during drafting time!  In September, students wrote individual All About Me books.  After spending some time drafting, editing, and publishing, students took time to share their work by sitting in the Author's Chair.  Each student gets the opportunity to sit in this special chair and share their work.  Other classmates offer "stars" (encouraging comments) and "wishes" (ideas about how to make the student's writing even better.)  It really helps children feel successful and feel like real authors!  Here are some pictures from workshop time!
