The All About Me Bag

The beginning of the year is an exciting time to make new friends.  On the first day of school, I bring the All About Me Bag to share.  I fill the bag with 4-6 special items that tell something about me.  For example, I might choose a piece of cross stitch to show one of my favorite hobbies or a pointe shoe to talk about my love of ballet.  Each child takes the bag home for 1 night and brings it back filled with 4-6 special items that tell us something about him or her.  After the child shares, classmates are given an opportunity to ask a question or share a positive comment.
