Bulletin Board Displays

"Buzz on in!"

Before the students arrive, I put up styrofoam bees to cover our door.  Then, we make giant bees to buzz around our hive.  On the wings, students write a character trait that begins with "be" such as "Be Kind," "Be Helpful," etc.

"What will First Grade "bee" like?"

At the end of the school year, I have my students write letters to the new first graders.  I put them on display the following school year for a welcome to first grade bulletin board.  After the first few weeks, I have my current students write letters to their parents telling them what first grade is like.  Underneath, you will see our "I Like Me" people that we create as part of our All About Me unit.
