Chester is our class mascot.  He is a wonderful stuffed raccoon puppet that my mom found for me at First Monday in Canton, Texas.  The class meets him on the first day of school, and he helps those of us who are nervous by sharing his favorite book, The Kissing Hand.  Chester goes home on the weekend with different classmates.  Parents and students enjoy writing and illustrating about their adventures with Chester. They also like to include photographs!
