The Science Bag

The Science Bag 

(Original idea from Dr. Jean!)

Students are eager for their turn to take home the science bag!  This bag travels home year-round and provides students with a hands-on  opportunity to learn about science.  Each student and her family must research a simple science experiment that a kindergarten or first grade student can perform independently for the class. Students practice the experiment at home before conducting the activity at school.  Parents help fill out a "Lab Report" for the "Famous First Grade Scientists" Journal.  Students keep the bag for three to four nights. All scientists are presented with a special award!
